I am writing this e-mail to request your help in order to connect with outstanding researchers within your network who would be willing to work at Arçelik R&D Centers in Turkey. Through our collaboration over the years, you already know about Arçelik’s vision and capability on innovation and R&D. I would like to highlight the facts about our company and outline the framework of the “International Fellowship for Outstanding Researchers Program Call” announced by the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TÜBİTAK).

Relying on its proven record of accomplishment in R&D capability, Arçelik is willing to be a part of the“International Fellowship for Outstanding Researchers Program Call” announced by the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TÜBİTAK). The aim of the call is to provide support and encourage qualified researchers with leading scientific and/or technological achievements and international working experience to come to Turkey to conduct their research in leading academic, industrial, or public institutions. Young researchers and experienced researchers can apply to the program if they:
Have not resided in Turkey for more than 12 months in the last 3 years. Short-term visits and compulsory military service not exceeding fifteen days in total within one year are excluded from this period.
Have a Ph.D. degree or a full-time overseas research experience in the field of study of at least 4 full-time years after his/her bachelor's degree.
Meet one of the following three qualifications.
1. Take place in the list of “Highly Cited Researchers” published by Clarivate Analytics in the year prior to the date of application date;
2. Have conducted his/her research in one of the top 100 universities according to the QS (Quacquarelli Symonds) World University Ranking or
3. Have conducted research in one of the top 2,500 companies with the highest R&D expenditures according to the “Industrial R&D Investment Scoreboard” as published by the European Commission Joint Research Centers.
The duration of the fellowship is to be between 24 to 36 months and the program is designed to include the following aspects of financial support:
Scholarship for the researcher
Allowance for family living expenses (if applicable)
Initial research grant
Research grant
Scholarship for establishing a research team*
Project incentive bonus
Overhead for the host institution
Health insurance for the project leader and his/her family
Travel allowance for the project leader and his/her family

We will very much appreciate if you can direct potential candidates within you network to engage in stimulating and prospering research careers within Arçelik through this program. In addition to the program coverage, Arçelik is willing to create a long-lasting research career compensation model for the candidates. The project application is to be made by the candidate research fellow who has or will come from abroad to Turkey to conduct his/her research.
