Alfred Beati Ngowi
Dr. Alfred Ngowi is a professor in Civil Engineering and the dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology at the Central University of Technology, Free State, South Africa. Professor Ngowi holds a Bsc degree in Civil Engineering, Msc in Construction Engineering and Management, and a PhD in Construction Technology. He has been a consultant in construction engineering and management for small and medium construction firms in Tanzania, Botswana and South Africa. As the result of these consultancy services Prof. Ngowi has developed keen interest in innovation and entrepreneurship in the construction industry. Professor Ngowi is a National Research Foundation (NRF) rated scientist in construction engineering and management and has published over 100 articles in journals, book chapters, conference proceedings and research reports. He is a the co-chief editor of the Journal of Construction in Developing Countries (JCDC); Associate Editor of Built Environment and Asset Management (BEPAM) and reviews editor of the Botswana Journal of Technology (BJT). Professor Ngowi is a member of the Botswana Institution of Engineers (BIE), and a Professional Construction Project Manager (PrCPM) South Africa.
