Martin M. Nzomo
Eng. Martin M. Nzomo is Dean, School of Engineering and Technology since February 2013, and a Senior Lecturer in Electrical and Electronic Engineering. He holds a B.Sc. (Hons) Degree in Electrical Engineering (Light Current Option) from the University of Nairobi, Kenya; M.Sc. in Electronic System Design specializing in Digital Systems, from Cranfield Institute of Technology, England and an M.Ed. in Vocational and Technical Education, from the University of Illinois at Urban Champaign, USA. He is Registered Professional Engineer by the Engineers Board of Kenya and a Fellow of the Institution of Engineers’ of Kenya and a Corporate Member of the Kenya Institute of Management.
He has over 32 years’ experience in the Kenya Public Service where he has developed expertise in the areas of Industrial, Micro and Small Enterprise and Entrepreneurship Development. He is a renowned Productivity Practitioner with expertise in promoting best practices in the public and private sectors and in enhancing factor productivity and competitiveness.
Eng. Nzomo is a past Principal of the Kenya Industrial Training Institute (KITI), a past Chairman of the COMESA (Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa) Leather and Leather Products Institute (LLPI) for 10 years, and a past 2nd Vice President of the Pan-African Productivity Association (PAPA). At professional level, Eng. Nzomo keenly follows on academic and research developments in his field of electrical and electronic engineering. His research interest is simulation of digital systems and analysis of medical signals.
He is a happily married father of four (4) adult children and the serving Parish Pastoral Council Secretary of St. Catherine of Alexandria Parish, Nairobi.
