As of October 1, 2022, ABET accredits a total of 4,564 programs at 895 colleges and universities in 40 countries/areas around the world, an increase of 203 programs over 2021.
This cycle included the first two programs to be reviewed under the data science pilot criteria. The two programs —
a) B.S. in Data Science and Analytics at Case Western Reserve University
b) B.S. in Data Science at Northern Kentucky University
— have been accredited by the Computing Accreditation Commission (CAC) of ABET.
ABET accreditation means that students, employers and society can be confident that a program is producing graduates ready to enter the global workforce. Sought worldwide, the voluntary peer-review process determines that a program is meeting the needs of industry while continuously improving the education it offers. Developed by technical professionals from ABET member societies, the focus is on what students experience and learn.
