The 12th International Conference on Engineering Education for Sustainable Development, EESD2025 will be hosted by King’s College London from the 15th to the 18th of June 2025 on the theme ‘Engineers as Changemakers’.
We are looking forward to welcoming you to our Strand Campus and the new Engineering Education facilities that the University has built with a specific emphasis on creating an arena for active learning, problem-based learning, and engaging interactive learning – all of which are significant in our endeavour to build an engineering education curriculum that promotes sustainability.
The aim of the conference is to offer opportunities to share your ideas, to discuss theoretical and practical issues and to connect with the leaders in the fields of Engineering Education for Sustainable Development. The EESD2025 conference will attract engineering educators and academics from all over the world with an interest in embedding sustainability in engineering education and across curricula. The field of EESD is evolving fast with a strong and healthy pull from industry, and several initiatives have emerged recently that are developing Education for Sustainability in the engineering field.
Sustainability perspectives are making their way into engineering accreditation criteria in many countries, and there is a strong need for discussing all levels of EESD – from student learning, module design, curriculum and programme design, HEI strategies, national and international accreditation standards, academia-industry collaboration, to name only a few. The EESD2025 conference will be a focal point for all these discussions, and a forum for analysis of practical implementation in EESD as well as dissemination of good practice in this field.
Please register and submit your abstract (proposal). If your proposal is accepted for presentation, then you may upload your full paper for publication in the conference proceedings. The format for abstract (proposal) submissions and full paper template are published on this website. After the peer-reviewing process, full papers will be published in the conference proceedings. We will be welcoming both proposals for oral presentations as well as interactive contributions in the form of workshops and poster presentations.
