GEDC Member and Rising to the Top author, Loreto Valenzuela, was elected as the new dean of the UC Faculty of Engineering. The professor of Chemical and Bioprocess Engineering and current director of College UC, has assumed the position for the next four years (2022-2026), and will succeed Dean Juan Carlos de la Llera, who headed the faculty for three consecutive periods (2010-2022) . ), thus becoming the first woman to lead the faculty in its 130-year history.
