Mohammed Abdulmawjood has received his B.Sc. in general civil engineering and M.Sc. in environmental Engineering-Industrial waste treatment from the engineering college of University of Mosul, Iraq in 1984 and 1999 respectively. He was granted his Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering, Environment Safety from the International Civilization Open University-ICOU, Beirut, Lebanon, 2017.
From 1984 to 2010, he was an engineering governmental staff of the Iraqi Ministry of Housing & Construction and then retired as a senior chief engineer.
In 2010, he was employed as a project manager at ACD, a local Iraqi NGO and awarded many grants to implement project for refuges and IDPs in Nineveh under the partnership with UNHCR and many international NGOs. He also assisted many other local NGOs by my experience in submitting proposals and technical reports.
He then founded The Engineering Association for Development & Environment (EADE), national Iraqi NGO established legally in 2012 and served as the director of the organization and head of the board of members. As an EADE director he led the organization activities sectors of shelters, schools, health centers, improving environment awareness, solid waste management, improving water service, livelihoods improvement, education, gender quality, child and youth protection and peace building.
Also, he supports several environmental education sessions and develops special curriculum in volunteer basis to many primary schools in Mosul, Iraq to raise the environmental awareness for students.
