Being able to work in teams is essential for engineers, especially in the current state of the world with increasingly complex world. However, team working skills is not a natural in-born skill – grouping students together in small groups often result in dysfunctional teams with various problems leading to negative learning experiences. Students need to learn and be guided in developing teamworking skills – but do educators know how to guide them? In this interactive webinar, we will look at key aspects of designing a learning environment that can guide students to learn and work in a team effectively based on the principles of Cooperative Learning (CL) in a typical classroom. Examples on infusing CL principles for implementation in engineering courses will also be discussed during the webinar.
